Thank you for taking the time to read and comment and you're welcome❀️ πŸ™πŸ» And it it a compatible viewpoint with meditation and yoga philosophy. I also find the principles inherent in the 12-steps also are instructing us to stop and notice ourselves - that is what the 4th step is about: the self inventory. Anytime we do stop and pay attention we are deepening our connection not just with ourselves but with our surroundings.

I was introduced to Gurdjieff in the 80s, had a book I never read, and yet, through your blog here I know why he was referred to me. I agree with the mechanical thinking. As I've had the opportunity to slow way down, I see even more unbelievably what kind of powers we have when we are really adept at looking in the mirror with everything we encounter. Really like how you spelled this out, brought yourself present. Thank you.
